CREATING A WARDROBE DETAIL DRAWING,FLOOR PLAN, KITCHEN LAYOUT AND COLUMN DETAIL USING AUTOCAD

 

1.WARDROBE DETAIL DRAWING

AIM-

TO DRAFT THE  PLAN, ELEVATION, SECTION, AND DETAIL DRAWING OF THE WARDROBE IN AUTOCAD.

INTRODUCTION-

The Wardrobe detail drawing  is created using AutoCAD software. The main purpose of this challenge is to be familiar with the annotation and dimensioning command.So the wardrobe is drafted step by step and procedure is mention below with diagrams and final result is given.

TOOLS USED-

  • LINE - Command for line is L 
  • CONSTRUCTTION LINE - Command for construcction line  is XL
  • TRIM - Command for trim is TR
  • TEXT- Command for text is DTEXT/MTEXT
  • DIMENSION - Command for line is Dimension DIM
  • OFFSET - Command for offset is O
  • FILLET - Command for fillet is F
  • SPLINE - Command for spline is SPL
  • LAYERS -Command for layer is LA 
  • CIRCLE - Command for circle is C 
  • RECTANGLE - Command for the rectangle is REC 
  • HATCH - Command for hatch is H
  • ARC - Command for arc is A
  • ARROW - Command for arrow is LE 

PROCEDURE-

STEP 1

  • Go to START MENU, and select AutoCAD.
  • The User Interface of AutoCAD is OPEN.
  • Click the start Drawing tab
  • The workspace of AutoCad is open,
  • Enter UNITS in the command box.
  • Select DECIMAL in TYPE, 0  in PRECISION, and MILLIMETER in UNITS TO SCALE INSERTED CONTENT.
  • Select Angle type as DECIMAL DEGREE, and precision is 0 and direction are Anti-clockwise.
  • Press OK.

STEP 2

  • Click on LAYER PROPERTIES tool or type LA and press ENTER
  • A Layer Dialog box will open.
  • Click on CREATE NEW LAYER and give a name to layer
  • Here, I create a 4 new layer with proper name 
  • Then, assign a differnt color for differnt layer accourding to our used.

STEP 3

  • Select a wardrobe layer
  • Select a RECTANGLE tool from ribbion or press REC and ENTER
  • Click on DIMENSION in command line .
  • Specify a length of rectangle as 2800 and press ENTER
  • Specif aa Breath of rectangle as 630 and press ENTER.
  • Press ESC.
  • Select a RECTANGLE and press X to EXPLODE 
  • Select a OFFSET tool from ribbion or press O and ENTER
  • Select a right vertical line and 
  • Specify offset distance as 365
  • press ESC.
  • Again select a OFFSET and
  • Specify a offset distance as 20 and give offset to all the line as a width of wardrobe.
  • For the wardrobe doors, select LINE tool and draw lines 
  • Using 3 point ARC create a arc to represent the door swing. 
  • Next select the wardrobe doors, right click, select Properties and change the Transparency to 50.
  • Select the MIRROR tool or type a MI and press ENTER
  • and make a mirror copy of door .
  • Now select a COPY tool from the ribbion and copy the door and place it in the desired location.
  • Select a LINE tool and type L or press ENTER.
  • Create a line over a wardrobe for Hatch to represent a WALL SURFACE.
  • Now select a hatch ANSI31 and click the surface over the wardrobe.
  • select a RED layer
  • Select a CIRCLE tool or type C and press ENTER
  • Create a circle at a bottom left corner of the wardrobe and arrow using the line tool and TRIM the small segment of circle.
  • Select a DIMENSION layer
  • Open a dimension-style dialog box by pressing DIMSTY in the command line.
  • Click on the Modify tab.
  • Now go to the text and change the text height and color as per Requirement.
  • Here, I used a 50 unit for a text height
  • Open a dimension-style dialog box by pressing DIMSTY in the command line.
  • Click on the Modify tab.
  • Now go to the text and change the arrow size and color as per Requirement.
  • Here, I used a 40 unit for a arrow size.
  • Now select a TEXT layer
  • Type a DTEXT 
  • specify the base point and angle of rotation as 0
  • Specify a text height as 85

STEP 4

  • Select a wardrobe layer
  • Select a RECTANGLE tool from ribbion or press REC and ENTER
  • Click on DIMENSION in command line .
  • Specify a length of rectangle as 2800 and press ENTER
  • Specif aa Breath of rectangle as 2600 and press ENTER.
  • Press ESC.
  • Select a RECTANGLE and press X to EXPLODE 
  • Select a OFFSET tool from ribbion or press O and ENTER
  • Select a top horizontal line  andpress T for through and press M for mutipal offset  
  • Specify offset distance as 12  and then 488
  • press ESC.
  • Select a OFFSET tool from ribbion or press O and ENTER
  • Select a vertical line and 
  • Specify offset distance as 12 and give offset from all side a width of wardrobe
  • press ESC.
  • Select a OFFSET tool from ribbion or press O and ENTER
  • Select a right vertical line and 
  • Specify offset distance as 365and give offset 
  • press ESC.
  • Select a Verticel line and devide in 4 segment and draw a straight line downwards.
  • Select a LINE tool and type L or press ENTER.
  • Create a line left side of  a wardrobe for Hatch to represent a WALL SURFACE.
  • Now select a hatch ANSI31 and click the surface over the wardrobe.
  • Again select a HATCH ANSI34 and click inside wardrobe and give transparency as 50
  • Open a dimension-style dialog box by pressing DIMSTY in the command line.
  • Click on the Modify tab.
  • Now go to the text and change the text height and color as per Requirement.
  • Here, I used a 50 unit for a text height
  • Open a dimension-style dialog box by pressing DIMSTY in the command line.
  • Click on the Modify tab.
  • Now go to the text and change the arrow size and color as per Requirement.
  • Here, I used a 40 unit for a arrow size.
  • Now select a TEXT layer
  • Type a DTEXT 
  • specify the base point and angle of rotation as 0
  • Specify a text height as 85

STEP 5

  • Select a COPY tool from the ribbion or type C and press ENTER.
  • Select a object as wardrobe constructed in step 4 and make a copy
  • Select a ERASE Tool fom the ribbion or type E and press ENTER.
  • Now select a 2nd and 4th vertical line and press enter
  • Select a OFFSET tool from the ribbion or type O and press ENTER.
  • Select a horizzontal center line and 
  • Specify a offset distance as 300 and give it 4 time dowwnward.
  • Again Select a offset tool 
  • Specify offset distance as 12 abd offset all the the inwards as a width of wardrobe
  • Now draw a LINE from the the midpoint to divide the block in 2 column AND GIVE THE WIDTH AS 20
  • Select A TRIM command form the ribbion or type TR an press ENTER.
  • Now trim thwe unwanted line 
  • Select a LINE tool and type L or press ENTER.
  • Create a line left side of  a wardrobe for Hatch to represent a WALL SURFACE.
  • Now select a hatch ANSI31 and click the surface over the wardrobe.
  • Open a dimension-style dialog box by pressing DIMSTY in the command line.
  • Click on the Modify tab.
  • Now go to the text and change the text height and color as per Requirement.
  • Here, I used a 50 unit for a text height
  • Open a dimension-style dialog box by pressing DIMSTY in the command line.
  • Click on the Modify tab.
  • Now go to the text and change the arrow size and color as per Requirement.
  • Here, I used a 40 unit for a arrow size.
  • Now select a TEXT layer
  • Type a DTEXT 
  • specify the base point and angle of rotation as 0
  • Specify a text height as 85

 

 

 

 

STEP 6

  • Using the rectangle, arc, lines, offset commands the internal detailing was done with transparency value of 50. 
  • Open a dimension-style dialog box by pressing DIMSTY in the command line.
  • Click on the Modify tab.
  • Now go to the text and change the text height and color as per the Requirement.
  • Here, I used a 50 unit for a text height
  • Open a dimension-style dialog box by pressing DIMSTY in the command line.
  • Click on the Modify tab.
  • Now go to the text and change the arrow size and color as per Requirement.
  • Here, I used a 40 unit for a arrow size.
  • Now select a TEXT layer
  • Type a DTEXT 
  • specify the base point and angle of rotation as 0
  • Specify a text height as 85

 

STEP 7

  • Selct the RECTANGLE tool or type a REC and press ENTER
  • Click on dimension in the command line 
  • Specify the length og rectangle ass 630 and 
  • Specify width of rectangle as 2600 and 
  • Prees ESC
  • Select a RECTANGLE and press X to EXPLODE 
  • Select a OFFSET tool from ribbion or press O and ENTER
  • Select a top horizontal line  andpress T for through and press M for mutipal offset  
  • Specify offset distance as 12  and then 520 and again 1180
  • press ESC.
  • Again Select a offset tool 
  • Specify offset distance as 12 and offset all the lines inwards as a width of wardrobe
  • Select a LINE tool and type L or press ENTER.
  • Create a line left side of  a wardrobe for Hatch to represent a WALL SURFACE.
  • Now select a hatch ANSI31 and click surface over the wardthe robe.
  • gain select a HATCH ANSI34 and click inside a wardrobe and give transparency as 50
  • Open a dimension-style dialog box by pressing DIMSTY in the command line.
  • Click on the Modify tab.
  • Now go to the text and change the arroTHE  size and color as per Requirement.
  • Here, I used a 40 unit for a arrow size.
  • Now select a TEXT layer
  • Type a DTEXT 
  • specify the base point and angle of rotation as 0
  • Specify a text height as 85

 

STEP 8

  • Selct the RECTANGLE tool or type a REC and press ENTER
  • Click on dimension in the command line 
  • Specify the length og rectangle ass 630 and 
  • Specify width of rectangle as 2600 and 
  • Prees ESC
  • Select a RECTANGLE and press X to EXPLODE 
  • Select a OFFSET tool from ribbion or press O and ENTER
  • Select a top horizontal line  andpress T for through and press M for mutipal offset  
  • Specify offset distance as 12  and then 620 and again 1180
  • press ESC.
  • Again Select a offset tool 
  • Specify offset distance as 20 and offset all the lines inwards as a width of wardrobe
  • Open a dimension-style dialog box by pressing DIMSTY in the command line.
  • Click on the Modify tab.
  • Now go to the text and change the arrow size and color as per Requirement.
  • Here, I used a 40 unit for a arrow size.
  • Now select a TEXT layer
  • Type a DTEXT 
  • specify the base point and angle of rotation as 0
  • Specify a text height as 85

 

STEP 9

  • Selct the RECTANGLE tool or type a REC and press ENTER
  • Click on dimension in the command line 
  • Specify the length og rectangle ass 630 and 
  • Specify width of rectangle as 2600 and

  • Select a RECTANGLE and press X to EXPLODE

  • press ESC.
  • Again Select a offset tool 
  • Specify offset distance as 20 and offset all the lines inwards as a width of wardrobe
  • Open a dimension-style dialog box by pressing DIMSTY in the command line.
  • Click on the Modify tab.
  • Now go to the text and change the arrow size and color as per Requirement.
  • Here, I used a 40 unit for a arrow size.
  • Now select a TEXT layer
  • Type a DTEXT 
  • specify the base point and angle of rotation as 0
  • Specify a text height as 85

TO DRAFT THE FLOOR PLAN  IN AUTOCAD.

The floor plan drawing  is created using a AutoCAD software. The main purpose of this challenge is to be familiar with the annotation and dimensioning command.So the fllor plan is drafted step by step and procedure is mention below with diagrams and final result is given.

TOOLS USED-

  • LINE - Command for line is L 
  • CONSTRUCTTION LINE - Command for construcction line  is XL
  • TRIM - Command for trim is TR
  • TEXT- Command for text is DTEXT/MTEXT
  • DIMENSION - Command for line is Dimension DIM
  • OFFSET - Command for offset is O
  • FILLET - Command for fillet is F
  • SPLINE - Command for spline is SPL
  • LAYERS -Command for layer is LA 
  • CIRCLE - Command for circle is C 
  • RECTANGLE - Command for the rectangle is REC 
  • HATCH - Command for hatch is H
  • ARC - Command for arc is A
  • ARROW - Command for arrow is LE

  • now draw 2 XL line horizontal and vertical respectively.
  • and Trim the rest of the portion after intersection
  • Select the OFFSET from the ribbion or type O and press EENTER 
  • Click on THROUGH on the command line 
  • Now click on MULTIPAL in the command line 
  • Specify the Offset distance for first room 3880 in X DIRECTION and 4350 in Y DIRECTION
  • To create a wall give the offset of 300mm for external wall and 150mm for internal wall
  • Repeat the same process 
  • Specify the Offset distance for second room 1750 in X DIRECTION and 3000 in Y DIRECTION
  • Specify the Offset distance fort third room 3830 in X DIRECTION and 4500 in Y DIRECTION
  • Specify the Offset distance for the fourth room 4300 in X DIRECTION and 3200 in Y DIRECTION
  • Specify the Offset distance for fifth room 5310 in X DIRECTION and 9710 in Y DIRECTION
  • Specify the Offset distance for the sixth room 1570 in X DIRECTION and 3000 in Y DIRECTION
  • Specify the Offset distance for seventh room 2000 in X DIRECTION and 3220 in Y DIRECTION
  • Specify the Offset distance for eight room 2150 in X DIRECTION and 2100 in Y DIRECTION
  • Specify the Offset distance for ninh room 1900 in X DIRECTION and 1600 in Y DIRECTION
  • Specify the Offset distance for tenth room 1800 in X DIRECTION and 1650 in Y DIRECTION
  • Select the TRIM Ccommand from the ribbion and trim the unwanted lines.

STEP 4

  • Select a LINE command from the ribbion or type L and press ENTER 
  • Draw a line for required size and trim the portion for door,window and ventilator 
  • the required size of doors,windows amd ventilator  are 
  • D1 = 1220
  • D2 = 1050
  • D3 = 950
  • D4 =  830
  • D5 = 930
  • W1 = 2430
  • W2 = 3030
  • W3 = 930
  • W4 = 1030
  • W9 = 730
  • W10 = 1730
  • V1 = 730
  • V2 = 630

STEP 5

  • Select a DOORS LAYER
  • Let's create d1 door first 
  • Select a LINE tool from the ribbion or type L and press ENETR
  • Create a Hingue of 130 x 60 and create a vertical line of length 1220 as a door size is 1220
  • Now selelct a arc tool from the ribbion or type A  and press ENTER 
  • Select a start,end ,direction in the command line slect starting point as end point of line and end point as wall edge and give direction and press enter.
  • Repeat the same process for wall the doors.
  • Select a window layer 
  • Let's create a W1 window ,size of window is 2430
  • Selecta RECTANGLE tool from the ribbion or type REC and press ENTER 
  • Click on dimension in the command line 
  • Specify the length as 2430
  • and the width of rectangle as a size of walll 300 or 150
  • Now create a line inn between to represent a glass of window 
  • Repeat the same process to create all the window and ventilator
  • Select a STAIR LAYER
  • create a line on stair portion and give the offset of 300mm as a TREAD is 300mm

STEP 6

  • Place the furniture from the DESIGN CENTER 
  • Command for DESIGN CENTER is ADCENTER
  • Select the firniture acourding to the give diagram and import in our project

STEP 7

  • These outdoor seating with canopy is drafted in privious challanges 
  • COPY from that drawing and import it in these drawing and scale it accourding to our use.

  • Select botton horzontal line  and give offset distance as 600

  • Select the OFFSET from the ribbion or type O and press EENTER 
  • Click on THROUGH on the command line

  • Select new line and give offset distance as 300
  • Select new line and give offset distance as 900
  • Select new line and give offset distance as 300
  • Select new line and give offset distance as 450
  • Select new line and give offset distance as 600
  • Select new line and give offset distance as 1000
  • press ESC

STEP 4

  • Open a dimension-style dialog box by pressing DIMSTY in the command line.
  • Click on the Modify tab.
  • Now go to the text and change the text height and color as per Requirement.
  • Here, I used a 80 unit for a text height
  • Open a dimension-style dialog box by pressing DIMSTY in the command line.
  • Click on the Modify tab.
  • Now go to the text and change the arrow size and color as per Requirement.
  • Here, I used a 50 unit for a arrow size.
  • Now select a TEXT layer
  • Type a DTEXT 
  • specify the base point and angle of rotation as 0
  • Specify a text height as 100

STEP 5

  • Select a COPY tool from the ribbion ortype CO and  press ENTER 
  • Select complete plan ,Specify the base poitn and make one more copy 
  • Select a ERASE tool from the ribbion ortype E and  press ENTER
  • Select all the object inside the plan and press ENTER

STEP 6

  • Open a dimension-style dialog box by pressing DIMSTY in the command line.
  • Click on the Modify tab.
  • Now go to the text and change the text height and color as per Requirement.
  • Here, I used a 80 unit for a text height
  • Open a dimension-style dialog box by pressing DIMSTY in the command line.
  • Click on the Modify tab.
  • Now go to the text and change the arrow size and color as per Requirement.
  • Here, I used a 50 unit for a arrow size.
  • Now select a TEXT layer
  • Type a DTEXT 
  • specify the base point and angle of rotation as 0
  • Specify a text height as 100

  • Selct the RECTANGLE tool or type a REC and press ENTER
  • Click on dimension in the command line 
  • Specify the length og rectangle as 24" and 
  • Specify width of rectangle as 24"and 
  • Prees ESC
  • Selct the OFFSET tool or type a O and press ENTER
  • Specify the offset distance as 1.5"
  • XPLODE the inner square by command X ENTER
  • Devide the line in 4 segments and draw a horizontal and vertical line

STEP 3

  • Selct the circle tool or type a C and press ENTER
  • Click on RADIUS in the command line 
  • Specify the radius of circle as 1" for 25 dia bar and 0.62" for 16 dia bar 
  • and place it in desired location 
  • Select a FILLET tool or type F and press ENTER
  • Specify a radius for fillet is 0.5"
  • click on multipals in command line and give fillet to the desired loacation
  • Select a hatch as solid and fill it in circle
  • Type a DTEXT

  • Specify the radius of circle as   0.62" for 16 dia bar 
  • and place it in desired location 
  • Select a FILLET tool or type F and press ENTER
  • Specify a radius for fillet is 0.5"
  • click on multipals in command line and give fillet to the desired loacation
  • Select a hatch as solid and fill it in circle

5. RAFT FOUNDATION

AIM-

TO DRAFT THE  RAFT FOUNDATION DEATAIL DRAWING OF WARDROBE IN AUTOCAD.

INTRODUCTION-

The foundation  detail drawing  is created using a AutoCAD software. The main purpose of this challenge is to be familiar with the annotation and dimensioning command.So the raft foundation  is drafted step by step and procedure is mention below with diagrams and final result is given.

TOOLS USED-

  • LINE - Command for line is L 
  • CONSTRUCTTION LINE - Command for construcction line  is XL
  • TRIM - Command for trim is TR
  • TEXT- Command for text is DTEXT/MTEXT
  • DIMENSION - Command for line is Dimension DIM
  • OFFSET - Command for offset is O
  • FILLET - Command for fillet is F
  • SPLINE - Command for spline is SPL
  • LAYERS -Command for layer is LA 
  • CIRCLE - Command for circle is C 
  • RECTANGLE - Command for the rectangle is REC 
  • HATCH - Command for hatch is H
  • ARC - Command for arc is A
  • ARROW - Command for arrow is LE 

PROCEDURE-

STEP 1

  • Go to START MENU, and select AutoCAD.
  • The User Interface of AutoCAD is OPEN.
  • Click the start Drawing tab
  • The workspace of AutoCad is open,
  • Enter UNITS in the command box.
  • Select ARCHITECTURAL in TYPE, 0'-0 1/2" in PRECISION, and INCHES in UNITS TO SCALE INSERTED CONTENT.
  • Select Angle type as DECIMAL DEGREE, and precision is 0 and direction are Anti-clockwise.
  • Press OK.

 

STEP 2

  • Select a LINE tool from the ribbion or type L and press ENTER
  • Specify a first point and second line
  • change the line type as CENTERX2
  • Select a OFFSET tool from the ribbion or press O and press ENTER
  • Click on THROUGH in the command line 
  • Click on Multipals in the command line 
  • select line and give offset up as 10'-4 1/2" , 13'-10 1/2",5'-9",3'9",5'7 1/2",5'-10 1/2",4'9',3'7 1/2",5'-7 1/2" 
  • Press ESC
  • Draw one horizontal lineat same base point
  • Select a OFFSET tool from the ribbion or press O and press ENTER
  • Click on THROUGH in the command line 
  • Click on Multipals in the command line 
  • select line and give offset up as 5'9",2',7',4',4'-6",5'-7 1/2"

STEP 3

  • Selct the RECTANGLE tool or type a REC and press ENTER
  • Click on dimension in the command line 
  • Specify the length og rectangle as 24" and 
  • Specify width of rectangle as 24"and 
  • Prees ESC
  • The various column sizes is as follows: 24"x24", 9"x24", 9"x18, 9"x30 and 9"x36

STEP 4

  • Selct the LINE tool or type a L and press ENTER
  • Now, by using the DIMENSION given in fig  the footings of all the columns was drawn
