A small DC motor can carry the elevator cage to top or bottom by forward and reverse motion.

Users can call the elevator from any of the three floors by using push buttons. Top floor and the ground floor have one push button while the second floor has two push buttons, one for up and another for down.

The elevator operation is controlled by the operator by sending the “GO” & “STOP” keywords through the serial terminal.

Assume suitable height of each floor & linear speed of elevator for your project setup.

Explain your Altair embed diagram and show the demonstration of the elevator.

    Solution :

A DC motor is used to carry a elevator. When users call the elevator feom any of the three floors we will use buttons like up and down buttons.

DC Motor prinicple when kept in a magnetic field a current carrying  conductor gains torque and develops  a tendency to move. In short  when an electric field and magnetic fields interact a mechanical force arises. this principle on which the DC motor works.

here is the state diagram regarding elevator motor. When a person is at ground floor and he wants to go up then his input is up with the level he wants to reach. Then the elevator moves from its idle position to up means forwad direction. When he is in up and wants to go to ground floor then he presses and give input 0 then the lift moves from 3rd floor idle position to ground floor.

when we press the button and no one entered to the lift after time out the lift will go to next destination.

this is the schematic diagram of a lift. The elevator runs with DC motor. DC motors are used to drag heavy weight.

    hence result shown successfully.
